Responsibilities:
Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, trusts, corporations, and partnerships with accuracy and attention to detail. Communicate professionally and courteously with clients to gather information and provide tax guidance. Work directly with business owners, CEOs, and controllers of small to mid-sized businesses across the U.S. and globally. Participate in IRS dispute resolution, international tax, M&A projects, forensic accounting, audits, and strategic tax planning. Attend networking functions and seminars to maintain a presence in the San Francisco business community. Collaborate closely with partners and senior management on client projects. Participate in the firm’s strategic planning and contribute to decision-making processes.

Compensation & Incentives:
17.5% commission for new client referrals for 2 years (up to 35% total). 25% direct pay of billable hours; increases to 33% after 1,500 billed/realized hours. No requirement to work 55+ hour weeks like typical CPA firms. BNI Networking group membership sponsored. Partner support in closing new client deals — with no commission split.
Qualifications:
Degree in Accounting from a U.S. university. Progress toward CPA licensure. Experience in tax preparation at a CPA firm is preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking ability. Technologically proficient — comfortable with modern accounting and tax software. Ethical, responsive, and client-first mentality.
